High above Lana lies the Vigiljoch – a hidden natural paradise that can only be reached by cable car. Once at the top, fragrant larch forests, gentle alpine meadows and a panorama that simply impresses await you.
Here you can enjoy a relaxing hike, walk to the small St Vigilius church or enjoy the tranquillity of the ‘Schwarze Lacke’ mountain lake. In winter, there is a small, relaxed ski area – perfect for families and those seeking peace and quiet.

Sculpture trail
Surrounded by greenery, along an idyllic footpath, the sculpture trail in Lana combines art and nature in a special way. The path winds through chestnut groves and light forests, accompanied by the gentle babbling of the Brandiswaal.

Waalwege trails
The Waalwege trails around Lana are the perfect way to enjoy nature in a relaxed manner. They run gently along old water channels that were once used to irrigate the orchards. Today they are picturesque footpaths with marvellous views of vineyards, forests and the Adige Valley.
The Brandis-Waalweg, for example, leads through shady chestnut groves and accompanies a babbling stream – ideal for a leisurely hike. There are always cosy rest stops along the way where you can take in the tranquillity and the landscape.
